We know the climate is changing. We know that hundreds of trees have been cut in the name of infrastructure development. Yet we only complain, complain and complain some more. Well, its time to stop complaining and do something about it.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Used to be a common topic for school essays for almost all generations. And thousands of us proudly wrote the same, in different language or with innovative words “ I want to make a difference!".
What happened then? We grew up!
Oh! We had our college studies, pressure to get into a professional college, get placed in an MNC, earn for the family, work pressure and so on. Who's got the time to think of making a change? We would rather leave it to the social activists and environmentalist to deal with making the changes while we are busy making our bank accounts swell.
Somebody said "We never owned the Earth, we just borrowed it from our future generations...They deserve to get it in a great shape!!"
So don’t you think it’s the responsibility of every human being to provide the best environment for their children to live in?
We do! We believe in doing our part. Our first initiative is the Green Bangalore campaign. We love Bangalore, and are equally worried about the climate change. We have resolved to plant a tree for every “Empowered Bangalorian” registered on Gobangalore.com.
If you like what we do, and want to be a part of the “green revolution“, this is what you can do.
You can offer to volunteer, give us a space to plant saplings, raise funds to support the cause or promote it.
You won’t see our ads on BMTC buses or our name being shrieked out on radio 24/7. We would rather use that money for planting more trees or support a cause!
