While most people say that the cost of living in Bangalore is high compared to other cities, GoBangalore will tell you that the cost of hanging out in Bangalore can as low as nothing.  If doing nothing, just hanging out and whiling away time is your type then this article is just for you.

So here we go with the top 5 places to hangout in Bangalore without spending a paisa: (Well these are more than 5, but who cares, we’ve just grouped the similar ones together – The more the merrier)

1. Malls: These are the most popular choice of college students and tourists from smaller towns who are amazed by the mall culture. While Forum Mall in Koramangala has long slabs of stone for sitting out side the mall, Mantri mall in Malleshwaram has benches inside mall. Same with Garuda Mall. So you get a perfect air conditioned place to hangout. Thumbs up!

2. MG Road, Brigade Road and Commercial Street: These may be called as shoppers paradise but nobody will hold you by the neck if you don’t shop and just window shop. We do agree that these places can tend to get crowded during the weekends. If you can resist the temptation to shop, just blend into the crowd and peep into the glossy window display of each store as you walk along.

3. Lalbaugh and Cubbon Park: Cool  breeze, lush greenery, birds chirping and lazy benches, what else do you need to just sit and chat or just sit and enjoy the wonders of nature right in the middle of the city. A long walk in these gardens can be so refreshing that you will actually look forward to coming back here again. Girls and couple, hanging out here after 6pm is an absolute no - no for you. Guess that doesn’t need any further explanations.

4. Jayanagar 4th Block: For people with less deeper pockets, this is a shopping paradise. The crowd you find here may be more conservative compared to the crowd is MG Road or Brigade Road or Commercial Street, but no harm in quietly strolling around and trying some of the street food available there.

5. Bangalore Palace & Bannerghatta National Park: Well, this last option will cost you something (Almost next to nothing). But both the experiences are going to be wonderful in their own way.  You can enjoy the grandeur of the castle palace or enjoy wilderness and spend a day in it without going out of the city in the National park.
