5

If you love neat, eco-friendly furniture and accessories, this is just the place for you. The North-East Craft Fair is on next to the Prasanna Ganapaty temple, koramangla 5th Block Bangalore. Sponsered by the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, one can see a wide variety of handmade products on display.

For your home needs, there is a lovely display of ratten furniture to choose from, woven grass lampshades, kitchen trays, mirror frames, bamboo art, and all made out of natural material. There is also a section dedicated to the North East hand woven textile. A small loom is set up in a corner and you can  take a look at the weaving process.

Apart from the North East treasures, there is the usual stuff that you would see in any exhibition like silver jewelry, home furnishing and wooden art. But overall, the North East crafts are a must see.
