While Mumbai and Delhi have their respective Chor Bazaars (Thieves Market), don’t ever think that Bangalore is left out. In Bangalore, we have our very own Sunday Market or Sunday Bazaar. No matter what used item you are looking for, you will find it here at the Sunday bazaar.
The Sunday bazaar opens at around 7.30am every Sunday and is bustling with activity until 8 in the evening. It starts off from BVK Iyengar road where sellers spread their items for sale on either sides of the road. The market goes all the way till KR Market flyover, which is one of the busiest streets in Bangalore.
What can you find in the Sunday Market? Anything you want!! From second hand electronics, car spare parts, used clothes, brass idols, antique vessels, furniture, tools and computer accessories to name a few.
Do brush up on your bargaining skills or take someone along who can do it for you. Shop keepers will quote ridiculously high prices so make sure you start your price at way lower than what you are willing to pay.
Finally, dress sober. This part of Bangalore is a little conservative,so girls, please wear loose clothes and cover your legs and shoulders and footwear comfortable for walking.
